About the event
Recently appearing at the Arts Centre with Gluck’s Orfeo ed Eurydice and Bizet’s Carmen, Exeter Opera return with Rossini’s richly romantic alternative version of the Cinderella story. Completed in three weeks when Rossini was 25 years old, following the success of ‘The Barber of Seville’ the year before, the opera is considered to have some of his finest writing for solo voice and ensembles.
