A new partnership between the Arts Centre, Crediton Heart Project and Holy Cross Parish Church enables us to attract prestigious artists to a larger venue, the beautiful setting of the Parish Church in Crediton.

Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman are nothing less than folk royalty. The Dartmoor-based husband and wife team have twice won the coveted Best Duo title at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, consistently delivering assured, distinctive performances whether live or recorded. Over two decades of performance they have never been trapped in a groove – always bold and innovative, mixing traditional song arrangements with their self-penned material which reels from the bitter to the sweet, the wry to the sad, the political to the passive.

Kathryn’s crystal-clear vocals are much sought after on the recordings of many other folk artists, while Sean’s skills as an instrumentalist and producer has led to work with Billy Bragg, Imelda may, The Levellers and Show of Hands amongst others.
