Supporting the Arts Centre

The Crediton Arts Centre aims to be a venue and focus for community arts in Crediton and the surrounding area. The constitution states that the objects of the charity are “to advance the education of the public in the arts and particularly, without prejudice to the aforementioned, the arts of drama, music, dance, literature and visual arts”. We aim to do this by running large-scale participatory community arts projects, regular classes in the arts, hosting touring theatre groups.

We would welcome your support to help us keep up to date with the costs of running The Arts Centre on an annual basis. A small contribution or donation can make a difference; a large donation can make an even bigger difference...

Business Sponsorship Scheme

With over 200 people passing through our doors every week, and several thousands attending our outdoor events, such as ‘Shakespeare in the Square’ and the Food Festival, Crediton Arts Centre clearly has a positive impact on the town, as well as attracting visitors from near and far.

At the beginning of 2010 the Centre embarked on a Business Sponsorship Scheme in an attempt to address the shortfall in its core funding budget needed to pay for essential day-to-day running expenses.  Currently we have six local business supporters, who have each provided between £150 and £600 for this year.  We hope they will continue to support us in the future, but are hoping others will join the scheme.

Crediton Arts Centre acknowledges business supporters in the termly brochure, which is sent to all of the Friends of Crediton Arts Centre, and is also placed in many outlets in and around the town.  In addition there will be an acknowledgement on all posters for Arts Centre events, and banners for business supporters will be hung at outdoor events. The names of sponsors are listed on our Supporters’ Board in the foyer of the Arts Centre.

There will also be a Sponsors’ evening, showcasing Arts Centre activities each year.
